Offered is a 1926 studio-issued news service photo promoting Rudolph Valentino's film The Son of the Sheik. The paper caption on the reverse reads "Rudolph Valentino makes friends with a baby camel who attracts attention in his new United Artist starring vehicle 'Son of the Sheik.'" The film was the sequel to his 1921 hit film The Sheik, and was released less than two weeks after his untimely death from peritonitis at the age of 31. The photo measures 8 x 10 inches and with the exception of the reverse's publication distresses presents in Near Mint condition.
