This group of 21 copies of LIFE magazine hale from the period after 1936, when Time publisher Henry Luce bought LIFE. Luce essentially only wanted its title so he could re-invent the publication. Life became the first all-photographic American news magazine, and it dominated the market for several decades. The magazine sold more than 13.5 million copies a week at one point. Very Good to Excellent condition, with a few lesser.
