Encapsulated by CGC. 9.4. The offered first issue of Sports Illustrated is from August 16, 1954, with Eddie Mathews mid-swing on the cover. CGC has graded the book 9.4 with white pages and notes that the Topps baseball card insert is still intact. It also notes the "Night Baseball in Milwaukee" cover. It's a pristine example of this seminal sports publication of the 20th century.
