Offered is an incredibly rare production proof of card #55 from the 1962 Topps "Mars Attacks" set. The card's final color was created by the combination of mixing cyan (blue), magenta, yellow and black inks during printing, and the offered pair, with the black plate on clear film and the cyan plate on card stock, represent a step in that process. That this artifact represents the set's checklist card, #55, one of the most sought after cards in the set, makes this offering only that much more special. We are also offering the proof for card #1 "The Invasion Begins" and a group of seven other proof cards from the set in this auction. The cards measures the standard 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches in size and presents in pristine Near Mint to Mint condition.
