The offered British quad movie poster was created to promote the 1968 Elvis Presley film Speedway. This U.K. version of the poster heavily emphasizes the psychedelic artwork from its American counterpart, covering the entire background with the blurred repeating colors and lights illustraion, giving the whole presentation a much trippier feel. I know Elvis' hair was getting long by '68, but he was certainly no hippie! The U.S. versions of most Elvis Presley movie posters are readily available, but the British Quad versions are much more scarce. The artwork is always distinct, and the color schemes are bold and vivacious making these U.K. posters highly sought after by collectors. The offered example is no exception! The poster measures 40 x 30 inches and presents with only minor edge wear, a couple of pin holes and a few pieces of tape that were applied to the reverse to improve very small separations at an intersection of the original factory folds. Near Mint condition.
