Offered is a massive Elvis Presley record store rack backer from the late 1970s. These promotional pieces were produced by record companies or record distributors to slip in behind a rack full of LPs so shoppers would be eye to eye with them while flipping through the records. The design of this piece is reminiscent of the illustration on the cases for the 1978 Donruss Elvis Presley cards, and one recollection said that this backer was used for a combination of the trading cards AND Elvis records, but this could not be confirmed. Regardless, this oversized record store promotional piece is a true showpiece. It measures 48 x 29 inches and presents with minor water stains and some creasing and weakening of the cardboard in a few areas, but it is intact. Excellent condition.
