Offered is a 1973 Apple Records 12 inch test pressing of Ringo Starr's 1973 LP Ringo. The double-sided LP contains all 10 tracks in their final released sequence, including the album's international #1 hit "Photograph," which was written by Ringo and George Harrison. In fact, the album has the distinction of being the only record all four Beatles worked on from 1971 until John Lennon's death in 1980. Though they don't all appear together on any one song, the very notion of them working together contributed to the album's massive success. The album was deprived of reaching number one on the U.S. charts by Elton John's Goodbye Yellow Brick Road--no shame in that. Singles "You're Sixteen" and "Oh My Way" also became hits. Both sides of the vinyl LP present with the proper Apple matrix numbers in the dead wax runout area, indicating this is a period test pressing. Side 1: SWAL-1-3413-Z15•TMI *. Side 2: SWAL-2-3413-Z14•TMI *. The track listings have been handwritten on both labels. The record measures 12 inches in diameter and presents with only mild scuffing and barely discernible scratches. VG+ condition.
