The offered Tin Machine agreement references the 1989 formation of the band and their 1991 concert tour and is signed by David Bowie as "David R. Jones," Reeves Gabrels, Tony Sales and Hunt Sales. Bowie has signed boldly in red ink, and the other band members signed in black. The agreement is a legal acknowledgement by the musicians that they formed the band on May 1, 1989, and that that agreement is subject to the August 1, 1991, "Tour Agreement" they signed with RZO Live, Inc. The band formed when Bowie and Gabrels started working together during a bit of lull in Bowie's career. The two connected, and when they brought in the Sales brothers a band was formed, almost before they knew it. Bowie insisted that it was a band, and that it would disband the minute it didn't work. They shared equally in the profits, shared interviewing duties, and Bowie made sure it was clear that they formed a band--they weren't his backing band. Well it did work, for a couple of albums. The critical reception wasn't always fair, but in retrospect the band's work is seen in a more favorable light. The contract is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Beckett Authenticated. The offered contract presents with no damage. Near Mint condition.
