The offered record store display was created by Capitol Records in 1992 to promote the "50th Anniversary" of their relationship with the Beatles and the promotion of Beatles albums on CD. The band originally signed with Capitol's parent record label EMI in 1962, hence the 50th anniversary. The die-cut display features the image of John Lennon, George Harrison, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr originally used on the front cover of their UK album With the Beatles in 1963 and their first US album Meet the Beatles in 1964. The double-sided display, when assembled, created an upright CD display case that would have held dozens of albums. It comes complete in its original shipping box with instructions and a letter from Capitol records encouraging retailers to "Please make an effort to keep this stocked and visible through the holidays. The Beatles catalog has always been a big seller nationwide at holiday time, and we'd like to take advantage of that." The box measures 21 x 31 inches and the display would stand more than 50 inches tall when assembled. Near Mint to Mint condition, with the shipping box slightly lesser.
