Offered is B.B King's "E-House" custom tailored shirt he wore on stage playing at a concert in Universal City, California in August 1999. Several tour dates that year were titled "The B.B. King Blues Festival 1999" and included the likes of Kenny Wayne Shepard and Taj Mahal. Because of the shirt's distinctive design, the shirt can be definitively photo matched with the photos presented here. The shirt was made for B.B. by "E-House Custom Tailor" whose "Hong Kong" label is still in the collar.

During King's nearly 70-year career, he introduced a sophisticated style of soloing based on fluid string bending, shimmering vibrato and staccato picking that influenced many later blues electric guitar players. He's been referred to as "the single most important electric guitarist of the last half of the 20th century". King was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987, and is one of the most influential blues musicians of all time, earning the nickname "The King of the Blues." King performed tirelessly throughout his musical career, appearing on average at more than 200 concerts per year into his 70s. The offered shirt was worn by King in concert during this later period of his career. The shirt measures 18 ½ inches shoulder to shoulder and more than 35 inches long and presents with signs of wear but no damage. Near Mint condition.
