The offered November 16, 1950, letter on Bing Crosby's personal stationary concerns his art collecting in the period. The letter is addressed to a Mrs. J. W. Young and reads “Dear Mrs. Young: I am returning the picture of the Charles Russell painting, as it is too expensive. Also, do not believe I am interested in the Leonard Reedy collection at this time. However, thanks for bringing these to my attention, and kindest regards.” The letter is signed “Bing Crosby.” Both Charles Marion Russell and Leonard Howard Reedy were noted painters who focused on American Western themes. “Young's Art Galleries” on Michigan Avenue was one of the largest art galleries in Chicago at that time. Accompanied by a COA from Beckett Authentic. The letter measures 7 ¼ x 10 inches and presents in Near Mint condition.
