A portion of the proceeds from sale of the Elton John lots, 229–281, will be donated to The Elton John Aids Foundation.

The offered poster was the pinnacle of marketing synergy to promote Elton John's 1980 U.S. concert tour AND his back catalog of MCA records. They're all here, plus two LPs from tour opening act Judy Tzuke. Elton's 18 records are displayed in no logical order, though some of the most successful are at the top: Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, Madman Across the Water, Greatest Hits and Greatest Hits Vol. II, along with his latest at the time, 21 at 33. The poster was designed to accomplish nearly any promotional task needed. One can almost hear the frenetic, illicitly-fueled executive in 1980 screaming what he wanted to accomplish with this one poster: "Sell the records, yes ALL the records, advertise the tour, YES every date, don't forget the opening act, NO I don't know how to spell her name, and leave space for the venue's to customize it at the bottom! GO! GO! GO! Get it printed and shipped!" It is an impressive piece that also acts as a checklist for Elton's 1970's record catalog. The poster measures 23 1/2 x 35 1/4 inches and presents with minor wrinkling, pin holes at the corners, a couple very small edge tears, but has great color and no separations at the intersections of the original factory folds. Excellent condition.
