Elvis Presley owned the offered gold coin ring which features an actual 1911 $2 1/2 Indian Head coin. He gifted the ring to his personal valet and Memphis Mafia member Richard Davis. Elvis owned several of this style of ring over the years; he was drawn to them, and he can be seen wearing a ring of this style in the 1970 documentary concert film Elvis: That's the Way It Is. The ring of 28 diamonds, weighing approximately 1 carat, that surrounds the Indian Head coin distinguishes this example from those of a more pedestrian design. It is an impressive piece of jewelry.

The accompanying Elvis Presley Museum "Certificate of Authenticity" is signed by Jimmy Velvet and reads: "This ring was given to Elvis' valet and close friend, Richard Davis. The ring has a US Mint, 'Liberty' two and a half dollar gold coin dated 1911, surrounded by small diamonds. Richard was also a dear friend of mine and worked for me at the Elvis Presley Museum in Memphis and also Orlando. Richard came to me one day asking if I wanted to purchase this ring for the museum tours."

The size 10 ring weighs 15.93 grams, and the 28 small diamonds circling the coin's mounting each measure just over 1 mm across. The reverse of the coin, with an American eagle, is visible from the underside of the mounting. The ring presents with with moderate to heavy signs of wear, but has no damage. Excellent to Mint condition.
