Offered is a stunning handmade North Beach Leather jacket owned by Elvis Presley. Elvis purchased the jacket from the North Beach store in Los Angeles after being introduced to the leather goods by his wife Priscilla. At the time, North Beach had stores in LA and in Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas. They eventually also custom-made stage suits worn by Elvis at several concerts in 1974--Elvis had seen singer Jackie Wilson wearing a custom suit at his own Vegas shows. The offered jacket was eventually left with Elvis' Las Vegas physician, Dr. Elias Ghanem, at whose house he often visited and stayed during his concert stands at the Hilton. The jacket has beautiful hand-tooled details that surely must have impressed Elvis' fashion sense. The original handwritten tag in the collar reads "Hand Crafted by Articulos de Piel for NBL in Pitiquito Sonora Mexico / XLG."

The signed LOA from Judy Ghanem, wife of Dr. Ghanem, reads "This custom made extra-large North Beach Leather jacket was left at Dr. Ghanem's home by entertainer, Elvis Presley. Elvis would often stay at his home located at 2981 Bel Air Dr. inside the gated community of the Las Vegas Country Club which is directly behind the Las Vegas Hilton. This North Beach Leather jacket was left by Elvis during the mid 70's. The jacket left to me by my husband Dr. Elias Ghanem after his untimely passing on August 27, 2001 at the age of 62." The letter is accompanied by a hand-numbered inventory list of the items in the Ghamen collection at the time they were sold where the offered jacket is listed as "XL North Beach Leather Jacket."

Also included with the jacket is a signed letter from Bill Morgan, founder of North Beach Leathers, stating "This handmade jacket was made in our 50 year old factory in Sonora Mexico in the very early 70s. This piece was made around the time Elvis had custom made several leather stage outfits. This particular jacket he wore as an around town garment as he did the Rainbow Fringe Jacket we also made the King. There were only a couple dozen of this style made. It was considered one of our best of our 70s 'Handlaced Collection.'"

The jacket presents with only minor wear, and while marked as "XLG", the jacket fits a bit smaller. Near Mint condition.
