Offered is an impressive framed display featuring a tough to find concert poster promoting Elvis Presley's "Extra Special Show" on Sunday, September 2, 1973, at 3:00 a.m at The Las Vegas Hilton Hotel. The poster emanates from the collection of Ed Bonja, Elvis Presley tour member and photographer, and it is framed next to one of Ed's photographs of Elvis performing that night. Ed has signed the photo in the lower left. The plaque on the display reads:

Due to high demand to se Elvis perform in Las Vegas, as well as timing conflicts, many people working in the entertainment industry had a difficult time attending his regularly scheduled shows. The solutiion was for Elvis to perform a speical 3 a.m. concert on Labor Day [weekend]. This rare poster was displayed in the Hilton lobby the last week of August, 1973. THis poster was obtained through Col. Tom Parker.

That's a fine glossing over of the story, but Elvis and Colonel Parker famously feuded over the scheduling of the show. And after Elvis said some untoward things about The Hilton during the show and goofed around more than normal, Parker and Presley had a knock-down, drag out argument in front of the entourage after which Elvis fired The Colonel. So much drama. The original poster measures 16 x 18 inches, the photo measures 10 x 13 inches and the framed display measures 26 x 36 inches. Near Mint to Mint condition.
