George Harrison has boldly signed the offered uncut sheet of the cover of his 1987 LP Cloud Nine. The album was the first full collaboration between Harrison and producer Jeff Lynne of The Electric Light Orchestra, and it's single "I Got My Mind Set on You" reached #1. His "band" included Lynne, Eric Clapton, Elton John and Ringo Starr, among others. The beautiful framed display features the front and back covers of Cloud Nine, with Harrison smiling ear to ear playing his 1957 Gretsch 6128 that he purchased in Liverpool in 1961. The large, blue Sharpie signature will make you, and your guitar, gently weep.

The partnership with Lynn was successful, to be sure, but perhaps its most important impact was that it led to the formation of The Traveling Wilburys. When Harrison was speaking with Lynne about the record company wanting a new song for the B side of the single "This is Love," they decided to record something the next day at Bob Dylan's home studio. Roy Orbison, who was recording with Lynne at the time, was invited to come along, and Tom Petty, at whose house Harrison had to stop on the way to the studio to pick up a guitar that morning, was also invited. "Handle with Care" was recorded that day, and the song was so good it was scrapped as the B side. The Traveling Wilburys were born that day.

Accompanied by a letters of authenticity from Beckett Authentic and noted Beatles autograph expert Frank Caiazzo. The framed display measures 32 x 19 ½ inches and presents with no distresses. Near Mint to Mint condition.
