Offered is a group of 16 photos of Elvis Presley and his home on Audubon Drive in Memphis. Elvis owned the home for a year from 1956 to 1957, after which he bought Graceland to endeavor on a life with a modicum of privacy. The group of photos capture the home from the front and back, show Elvis' new pool (still being filled), his cars and one even captures Elvis answering the front door for a group of fans. Various photos have notations on their reverses indicating they were taken in February and April 1957. The girls are pretty bold, sitting on the front porch, wandering around the backyard and sitting on the lawn furniture...it's no wonder the Presley's were looking for a new home! The photos measure 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches and present with some toning, some moderately, but most are free on most distresses. They are printed on era-specific KODAK VELOX PAPER and several have had adhesive from album mounting removed very cleanly. Excellent to Mint condition overall, with a couple lesser.
