The accompanying signed "Letter of Authenticity" from Judy Ghanem, the wife of Elvis' Las Vegas physician Dr. Elias Ghanem, reads: "This 14k yellow gold Capricorn pendant with Elvis Presley engraved in 14k white gold was given to Dr. Elias Ghanem by entertainer, Elvis Presley. Elvis would often stay at Dr. Ghanem's home located at 2981 Bel Air Dr. inside the gated community of the Las Vegas Country Club which is directly behind the Las Vegas Hilton. This Elvis Presley pendant is one of the items that Elvis gave to Elias during the mid to late 70's. This pendant was left to me by my husband Dr. Elias Ghanem after his untimely passing on August 27, 2001 at the age of 62."
The pendant is marked "14K" on the reverse of its gold nugget style circular design, which barely contains the rowdy Capricorn goat/mermaid figural in its center. The figure, with two tiny diamonds for eyes, is designed in the Greek mythology-inspired astrological image of the "sea goat," a representation of capricorns combination of Earth and Water. The gold ring around the figure is flanked top and bottom with not engraved as the letter describes but actually raised figural letters that spell "ELVIS PRESLEY" in white gold. The pendant weighs in at 20.75 grams and measures 1 1/2 inches in diameter. The gold rope-style chain measures 28 inches in length. The necklace presents with signs of being worn, but no damage.
