Babe Ruth passed away on August 16, 1948, and the appearance of the black armband on Joe's left sleeve dates this photo to that year. The photo is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Beckett Authentic. The photo measures 16 x 20 inches and presents with just a bit of toning on the extreme edges from previous framing. Near Mint condition.
