The offered large, ornately carved wooden jewelry box was owned by Elvis Presley and emanates from Graceland. The box was used by Elvis in his office conference room upstairs at Graceland until 1967, when he gave it to Memphis Mafia member and close friend and confidant, Marty Lacker. In July 1967, newlyweds Elvis and Priscilla had announced that they were expecting, and by November of that year architects were brought in to transform Elvis' upstairs office conference room into a nursery for the baby. This project undoubtedly spurred Elvis to gift the jewelry box used in that room to Marty, who the co-best man at his recent wedding. Marty kept the box for many years prior to selling it the the Elvis Museum owned by Mike Moon. A certified original copy of the July 24, 1983, bill of sale between Lacker and Moon is included, and it lists among its 11 items "5. Jewelry Box - Came from Elvis' conference room, which was to become Lisa Marie's bedroom. Given to Marty in 1967." Also included is a 2017 letter from the President of the Elvis and Hollywood Legends museum detailing the purchase of the jewelry box and stating that it "has been on display in the Elvis Presley Museums of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee for over 3 decades and is represented as a true Elvis Presley owned artifact that has been a part of the Mike L. Moon Collection for over 35 years."

The boxes design harkens to the early 1960s, with it faux distressed look and overly intricate carved exterior. The plush green velvet interior would have held a great number of Elvis' favorite rings, necklaces and watches. The ornate wooden jewelry box measures 12 x 16 x 3 1/2 inches and presents with expected wear from use on the interior green velvet. The lid's hinge is slightly use but still connected. Excellent condition.
