Offered is an RIAA Gold Record Award for Elvis Presley's 1959 LP 50,000,000 Elvis Fans Can't Be Wrong: Elvis' Gold Records, Volume 2. While the album was initially certified Gold by the RIAA on November 1, 1966, the offered award was produced at a later time, most-likely as late as the early 1990s. The award's plaque reads "PRESENTED TO ELVIS PRESLEY TO COMMEMORATE THE SALE OF MORE THAN 500,000 COPIES OF THE RCA RECORDS LONG-PLAYING RECORD ALBUM 'Elvis' Gold Records, Vol. 2.'" The album peaked at number 31 on the Billboard Top Pop Albums chart. It was certified by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for a Gold Record Award (based on $1,000,000 in wholesale sales) on November 1, 1966. (the offered award refers to number of copies sold, further indicating that it hails from a later period) It was certified for a Platinum Record Award for sales of one million copies in the US on March 27, 1992.

The album consisted of both sides of five singles released 1958 and 1959, including "Don't," "One Night," and "A Big Hunk o' Love." There were seven songs that achieved Top 10 status at the time, but with they were all technically "GOLD" records at the time, easily selling more than $1,000,000 each. The award measures 17 x 21 inches and presents with only minimal wear to the gold painted frame. Near Mint condition.
