This is a MGM studio-issued promotional photo dating from the early 1930s, when The Marx Brothers were in the middle of a string of hit films including Monkey Business, Horse Feathers, Duck Soup and A Night at the Opera. This perfect example of a promotional photo for the comedy team was destined for the Spanish speaking markets, as evidenced by the caption typed on the reverse: "Sin valor commercial-unicamente para su pulicacion en diaries de revistas." (No commercial value - only for publication in magazines). The photo measures 10 x8 inches and presents Near Mint condition.
