The offered archive holds medium format film contact sheet prints of an astounding 842 different photos taken during the production of Elvis Presley's 1958 film King Creole. The images document nearly the entire film, scene by scene, and are crystal clear. Many of the sheets have date stamps from January, February and March 1958, during the time period of filming King Creole. It was commonplace for photographer to be assigned to a production to document for publicity purposes—what isn't common place is for such an extensive archive of those photos to be made available to collectors! The normally full, 12-image sheets have been cut down into various groups of individual photos-no full sheets remain intact. Each sheet has been stamped on the back with the information of a later photo archivist, in addition to the period date stamps. Each individual frame measures approximately the same size as the medium format negative would have, 2 3/8 x 2 3/8 inches. The sheets present in stunning Near Mint condition, with just a small number slightly lesser.
