The offered Muhammad Ali signed copy of Sports Illustrated documents "Super Fight II" between Ali and Joe Frazier--it was the second of the three Ali–Frazier bouts. The fight took place at Madison Square Garden in New York City on January 28, 1974. While the article in the offered SI is titled "Crafty Win for Muhammad," fight fans were not overly impressed with how much he tied Frazier up to lessen the effectiveness of Joe's inside punches. Regardless, Ali's strategy allowed him to land many more of his own punches during the fight, and he won in an unanimous decision. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Beckett Authentic. The magazine presents with moderate wear, but the Sharpie signature is bold, although somewhat truncated by the Champ's diminished faculties. Excellent condition.
