The offered pair of Christmas cards were sent by Elvis Presley in or around 1960. There were often several cards sent each year, one for fans, one for professional contacts of The Colonel and a family card from the Presleys. The first one offered here is the "Merry Christmas to All" green and red foldout Christmas card. On the inside the printing reads "At Christmas...we send warm greetings to you as a friend and we share with you some views of Graceland... our home. The Presleys." Examples of this card have been seen with their original envelopes postmarked in 1960. There were several versions of this card, in different color combinations, used over a several year period, but this is one of the earliest. The card folds out to show five different views of Graceland in the winter. The unfolded card measures 10 3/8 x 16 3/4 inches. The other card hails from roughly the same period, perhaps even earlier, and it is stamped on the inside "Elvis and the Colonel." The somewhat generic style and stamping could indicate this was sent to a business associate. This is the type of card that would have been sent out en masse by the secretaries at The Colonel's Madison, Tennessee offices. The card measures 5 x 6 1/2 inches. Both cards present with little wear. Near Mint condition.
