The offered RIAA Gold record was awarded for Elvis Presley’s 1960 Single “It's Now or Never." The song was Elvis Presley's best-selling single ever, and one of the best-selling singles of all time. It was recorded on April 3, 1960, at RCA's Studio B in Nashville. After its release on July 5, 1960, "It's Now or Never" was a number-one record in the U.S., in the UK and numerous other countries, selling in excess of 25 million copies worldwide, Elvis Presley's biggest international single ever.
The plaque on the award reads “Presented to RCA RECORDS to Commemorate the Sale of More Than One Million Copies of the RCA Records Single Record 'It's Now or Never.'” The single was certified Gold by the RIAA on April 15, 1983, and the award hails from that time period. The framed award measures 17 by 13 inches and presents with moderate wear to the frame and minor scuffs on the plexiglass. Excellent condition.
