Elvis Presly had met the company of the "Holiday on Ice" show in Frankfurt, Germany in 1958, and five members from that troupe were in the company when they played Memphis' Ellis Auditorium in March 1960. Elvis attended the show several nights, and on March 14, 1960, Elvis invited the entire cast to visit Graceland for the afternoon. Busses brought the whole group from the Hotel Claridge to Elvis' estate at 2:30 in the afternoon, and the offered trio of news service photos captures their time with Elvis on the porch at Graceland. As if to honor the "Holiday" theme of the show, the Memphis weather provided a little snow for the occassion, which can be seen falling through the photos. The notation on one photo accurately describes the scene as "Elvis Presley Entertaining 'Holiday on Ice' 3/60," but another photo's notation mistakenly guesses "shot in mid-50's." The photos measure 8 x 10 inches, and they present with minor distresses, creasing, edge wear and some toning, one more than the other two. Excellent condition overall, but one is much nicer.
