The offered Musical Jolly Chimp is one of the originals produced by Japanese toy maker Daishin C.K. Many knockoffs were created in various countries, but this is one from the company that created the Jolly Chimp. They were produced starting in the 1950s and up through the 1970s, but the offered example is most-likely in the middle of this run. The earliest versions had a green bag on the chimps arm. The toy presents in working condition, as can be seen in the video here--but be warned, he will haunt your dreams. The pictorial box is completely intact, and the chimp himself shows no signs of use. The battery compartment is in perfect condition, with no oxidized metal or battery corrosion, and the cymbals also show no oxidation. His clothing is in perfect shape, as well. The toy measures 10 1/2 inches tall. Near Mint to Mint condition. The box shows some wear at the corners. Near Mint condition.
