Encapsulated PSA/DNA TYPE 1. Offered is a 1924 original news service photo of Babe Ruth presenting one of his signed game bats to New York Govenor Al Smith. Ruth visited Smith while he was running for President at the 1924 Democratic National Convention, when the photo was taken. Oddly, Ruth had already signed the bat for President Warren G. Harding the year before. Ruth had met Harding, and the President asked him to send him a signed bat. Ruth honored the request, but Harding passed away in August of 1923 before Ruth could send it to him. Helluva twice-signed Ruth bat! The photo measures 8 x 10 inches and presents with several edge tears, small areas of chipping and paper loss in the border areas. Very Good to Excellent condition.
