Offered is an impressive 1935 oversized Universal Studios-issued news service photo of Frankenstein's monster himself, Boris Karloff promoting The Return of Frankenstein. The back stampings read "KARLOFF / UNIVERSAL PICTURES STAR" and "JUL 16 1935".  The still-attached paper caption reads "In a distinct class as the foremost genius make-up and character delineation, Boris Karloff definitely fills the cinematic niche left vacant by the late Lon Chaney. Karloff's next two for Universal will be 'The Return of Frankenstein' and 'The Raven'." An incredible Hollywood artifact referencing two of the most famous Universal "Monster" movies ever made. The photo measures 9 x 12 1/2 inches and presents Excellent to Mint condition.
