1953 Humes High School Graduation Program Featuring Elvis Presley

Offered is the rare Humes High School commencement program from Elvis Presley's year of graduation, 1953. These programs, intended for quick, one-time use, tended to be discarded shortly after the ceremony. The program lists Elvis’ classmate George Klein as a speaker during the commencement ceremonies. George was not only class president and editor of The Herald (class paper) but also a dear friend to Elvis. The commencement ceremony was held in Ellis Auditorium on June 3, 1953 at 8:00 p.m. The commencement exercise program, listing Elvis Aron Presley, measures 8 1/2 by 5 1/2 inches and presents with only mild toning.
