Offered is an extremely HIGH GRADE 78 RPM single of Elvis Presley's SUN 215 Single "Milkcow Blues Boogie" / "You're a Heartbreaker". On this example, before and after the matrix numbers in the dead wax on either side, a delta symbol and three digit number were added, indicating that this was a pressing done by Monarch Record Manufacturing of Los Angeles, California. The symbol and numbers were part of their internal serial number system. By December 1954, Elvis Presley had release two successful singles with Sun Records, inluding Sun 209 "That's All Right" and Sun 210 "Good Rockin' Tonight". They were both legitimate regional hits, and Sam Phillips was keen to release more music from his rising star. The 78's of Elvis' Sun recordings are extremely rare, due to the fragile nature of the medium. The 78 format was still in wide use in 1954, but the 45 RPM single was taking over--many more were made. The record measures 10 inches in diameter and presents with NO DISTRESS on the "Milkcow" side, and just minor scuffs on the "Heartbreaker" side. Both labels are IMMACULATE, with the "Milkcow" label just offset during production. STUNNING Excellent condition overall. ONE OF THE FINEST COPIES OF THIS TOUGH 78 WE HAVE SEEN.
