Offered is 1956 Elvis Presley 16MM 20th Century Fox Newsreel Footage of His legendary concert on September 26, 1956, in his hometown, Tupelo, Mississippi. The footage was sent to television shows and news programs to promote Elvis'' first film, Love Me Tender. The reel of film is accompanied by a November 2, 1956, letter on 20th Century Fox letterhead addressed to the "Ted Steele Show" outlining how the footage should be used to support the film and NOT "used to ridicule Mr. Presley, his style of singing, his audience reactions or our picture" in any way. A second sheet titled "TV Continuity for Elvis Presley Newsreel Clip" is the script for the segment, with the announcer''s dialogue listed. The film is presented on a small period metal film reel and appears to be in clean useable condition. Excellent to Mint condition.
