Offered is a 1956 Elvis Presley Las Vegas Concert Medium Format Contact Sheet Original Photo from the collection of country signer Johnny Tillotson. The photo captures Elvis on stage at the New Frontier Hotel in Las Vegas during his two week appearance there in April and May 1956. Elvis recorded Johnny''s hit "It Keeps Right On A Hurtin" for the album From Elvis In Memphis--it was one of the great honors of Johnny''s career. The two first met at an Elvis concert in Jacksonville, Florida in 1957 (see image at right), and Johnny regularly performed in Las Vegas during the 1970s.
The photo was taken by photographer Jerry Abbot of the Las Vegas News Bureau. Many of his other photos from the show are in circulation, but to our knowledge this particular image has not been seen. The small photo measures 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 inches. Near Mint condition.
