Offered are two posters for early and influential rock & roll films that both feature Alan Freed. Prior to the payola scandals that derailed his career (see previous lot!), Freed was a major figure in the new art form. The posters include: 1956 Rock Around the Clock One Sheet and 1957 Mister Rock & Roll Half Sheet. The films brought established and rising stars to the big screen, including The Platters, Bill Haley and His Comets, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Ferlin Husky and Frankie Lymon. Both posters present with distresses, edge wear, some paper loss (the half sheet moreso) and toning. Excellent condition overall.
