Offered is 1970's ELVIS plush Hound Dog sold at the souvenir stands at his concerts in Las Vegas and on road. Elvis first began singing “Hound Dog” in May of 1956 at the Ellis Auditorium in Memphis, and by June of 1956 was performing the song on the Milton Berle Show to a national audience. The popularity of the song and Elvis’ rendition skyrocketed from there and as a fan favorite, Elvis would make it his standard closer of his concerts. The song, always in Elvis’ repertoire, took on a new form in 1972 when plush hound dog toys became a favorite at the Elvis Summer Festival shows in Las Vegas. The loveable pup never lost its appeal. This adorable, low-maintenance pet measures 12 inches in height and presents with some mild staining on the eyes and toning to the intact ELVIS ribbon. Excellent condition.
