Offered is a 1973 Norm Cash Detroit Tigers H&B Model D113 Game Used Bat graded PSA GU 8.5. The bat is accompanied by a copy of a letter from the nephew of Detroit Tigers equipment manager from 1970-74 explaining how he "received the bat from Norman Cash of the Detroit Tigers after a game played versus the New York Yankees at Tiger Stadium in August of 1973." Cash did play against the Yanks on August 5 and 6, going 2 for 6 in the two games The PSA/DNA LOA reads in part "Hillerich & Bradsby model DI13 Norm Cash professional model bat is un-cracked and exhibits evidence of outstanding use. The knob and top barrel have been modified. Many ball marks and ball stitch impressions are visible on the right, left and back barrel. Also visible on the bat are green bat rack streaks. The handle has been taped approximately 6 inches in a spiral pattern to enhance the grip and there is a heavy coat of pine tar on the handle." The ash bat is 33.5 inches and weighs 31.3 ounces. Accompanied by LOA from PSA/DNA.
