The offered 20th Century Fox announcement sheet has the cast list of Elvis Presley's first film Love Me Tender. The dark orange paper contains the typed list of cast and crew and also lists the movie stats with a running time of 89 minutes and footage number 8051. This artifact would have been distributed to various members of the press at either press conferences or, quite possibly, at various premiere or press screenings. It is an extremely ephemeral piece, and there are unlikely to be too many other examples out there. The story of family separated by war, a twisted love triangle and tragic end, Love Me Tender was released in 1956, marking the very start of Elvis’ acting career and his first motion picture. Although Elvis did receive top billing over his more seasoned co-stars, his role was of a supporting actor in the film. The film crew and cast stat sheet measures approximately 13 by 8 1/2 inches.
