Offered is a copy of Elvis Presley's "Shelby County Sheriff's Department" ID card from the personal collection of Shelby County Sheriff Roy C. Nixon, who had awarded Elvis the ID and several of the badges in his famous collection. On "10-10-1970" when Elvis' was issued his ID card, Nixon asked Elvis if he would mind if the Sheriff could make another one to keep himself. Elvis of course agreed. The card, which features Elvis' fingerprint on the back, lists Elvis as "Chief Deputy" and standing and weighing at "6'1", 160". Also included is copy of the famous photo of Elvis and the boys all holding up their Shelby County Sheriff's badges.

Accompanied by 2002 letter from Sheriff Roy C. Nixon reads in part: "The card that I am sending you this time, is one of the "Chief Deputy" cards that I have. As I told you, this card had never been laminated and is in excellent condition. Elvis's signature is very clear. As we discussed, the back of the card is the same as the 'Special Deputy' that you previously received." Tom laminated the card to keep it preserved. Apparent Near Mint condition.
