Offered is an incredible artifact from one of the most important moments in the career of Elvis Presley--his return to live concert performance at The International Hotel in Las Vegas in July 1969. This contract emanated DIRECTLY FROM THE ARCHIVES AT GRACELAND, and was offered as Lot B-337 in the now legendary 1999 Graceland Archives Auction. The two page agreement discusses various financial arrangements between Elvis, Colonel Parker's All Star Shows and William Morris Agency concerning Elvis' upcoming engagement at The International Hotel. Elvis has boldly signed on the second page, as has William Morris executive Roger Davis. Advertising and promotion expenses and "supporting talent" costs are covered.
Accompanied by COA from Graceland Archives. The two pages of the contract are presented in an elaborate framed display measuring 29 x 29 inches. The frame includes a plaque with background information and a photo of Elvis with International Hotel President Alex Shoofey and talent booker Bill Miller. That contract "signing" was staged for the press--the actual signing took place later. Near Mint condition.
