Offered is the personal telephone and address book of Senator Edward Kennedy from the 1960s and 1970s. The book emanates from the estate of Rosalie Helm, personal assistant to Senator Edward Kennedy and his first wife, Joan Bennett Kennedy, during the 1960s and 1970. It is accompanied by a letter of provenance from the initial sale of Rosalie's estate in 2019. The phone book would have been in daily use by Ms. Helm during Kennedy's early years as United States Senator from Massachusetts, which started in 1962. Several names jump out of the book, notably Noam Chomsky, Attorney General Ramsey Clark, Future UN Ambassador Richard Holbrooke, political cartoonist Gary Trudeau and Secretary of the Army and future Secretary of State Cyrus Vance. The book measures 5 1/4 x 8 1/4 inches and presents with the cover separated. Very Good condition.
