Offered is a photograph of the 1904 New York Highlanders baseball team featuring Hall of Famers Jack Chesbro, Wee Willie Keeler and Clark Griffith. In total, there are 18 players shown, as well as the team mascot. Keeler and Chesbro are easy to pick out, as well as 6'4" Ambrose Puttmann. The photo was taken from an issue of the society magazine, The Burr McIntosh Monthly, published in November, 1904. The Highlanders would finish second in the American League that year, behind Chesbro's 41 wins. The caption of the photo reads: "NEW YORK AMERICAN LEAGUE BASEBALL TEAM, 1904," and in the lower left corner is "Copyright, 1904, by Burr McIntosh." The page measures 12 x 5 inches and presents with some moderate edge wear. Excellent to Mint condition.
