Offered is a nice group of Baseball Guide and Record Books published by The Sporting News. The yearly guides were a reference for every record and rule in Major League Baseball, and they also had diagrams of the ballparks and a ton of other information about the game. This assemblage is quite comprehensive through 1997, and would require a small number of issues for completion. The collection includes: 1939 (missing cover), 1944, 1945, 1947, 1949, 1950, 1955, 1956, 1960, 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1969-1997. The earlier books (pre-1960) suffer from many defects and binding issues. Those are VG-EX with a few lesser. The remainder present better EX-MT with a few better.
