Offered is a collection of 27 different 1947 Bond Bread cards, including SGC-graded examples. There is much scholarship and hobby discussion about the designation of the this issue, with a strong sense that the rounded corner examples are indeed the only 1947 Bond Bread cards--period recollections concur about only these cards coming out of the bread bags. There is anecdotal reporting that the square corner cards are "Sports Star Subjects" that were issued in roughly 1949-50, or slightly later. Regardless, this offered collection, and the single-graded cards and autographed cards offered in this auction, make for an impressive group. The set presents many important rookie cards, as well.
