Offered is a fan scrapbook full of 170+ original photographs of 1950s and 1960s rock and roll and country music stars. The standout item in the book is a beautiful photo of Elvis Presley standing in front of his pink Cadillac while on tour in 1956. In the photo, Bill Black's bass guitar can be seen still strapped to the roof. The owner of the scrapbook neatly tucked the majority of the photographs into corner tabs, with only a small few actually mounted on the pages. There are more than 200 photos in the scrapbook--this number includes several dozen small promotional photos from period. Our fan, Dorothy, was the president of the Jack Roberts Fan Club, and hailed from Seattle, Washington, where she was also a member of many other fan clubs for country stars of the 1950s. Other artists represented are Eddy Arnold, Hank Williams, Sr., Jim Reeves, Slim Whitman, Hank Snow, Ferlin Husky, Webb Pierce, Buck Owens, Faron Young, Kitty Wells, Roy Drusky and Billy Martin. The Elvis photo, on period "VELOX" paper, measures 4 x 3 inches and presents with all of its original luster and contrast, a benefit of being stored in a scrapbook with only insert corner tabs. Near Mint condition. The remainder of the photographs also present Near Mint overall with a few lesser.
