Offered is a souvenir program from the Grand Ole Opry that showcases the various performers and includes Elvis Presley with a headshot and description that states, “On Sun label, handsome, young Elvis Presley sky-rocketed to fame with his country-western songs with a rhythm and blues flavor. Two of his unique numbers which have hot Billboard magazine’s Popularity charts are ‘Baby, Let’s Play House’ and ‘I’m Left, You’re Right, She’s Gone.’” Both of these Elvis tunes were released in April of 1955. During his relentless touring schedule in 1955, Elvis would appear numerous times on the bill at Grand Ole Opry-sponsored concerts—the offered program would have been available for sale at these events. This 1955 black-and-white program with front and back covers accented in bright red measures 11 by 8 1/2 inches and presents in Excellent condition with some areas of light staining.
