The original paper caption is still attached and reads "ELVIS SHOWS THE WAY TO TEENAGERS...New York...Dr. Harold Fuerst of City Health Department injects Elvsi Presley's arm with a Salk Anti-Polio shot at the Radio Studio today. The Rock 'n Roll idol submitted to the shot as an example to teenagers, the second most susceptible group to the disease in the country." The "International News Photos" stampings on the reverse date this to the period. The photo measures 6 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches and presents with some back toning and minor creases.
