The offered "Wide World Photos" original news service photo captures Elvis Presley at the rehearsal for his January 6, 1957, appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show. This was Elvis' third and final appearance on the show, and it featured the infamous "waist up" camera work in resonse to the public outcry to his gyrating style. The offered image is Elvis during the afternoon rehearsal at the CBS TV studios. The photo presents with the news service stampings on the reverse. It measures 7 1/2 x 9 1/2 inches and presents in perfectly preserved Near Mint to Mint condition.
