Offered are two possibly unpublished original news service photos of Elvis Presley performing on June 8, 19565, at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. The photographs were take from the front of the stage by a professional news photographer. The original paper captions are still intact, and the vernacular used in the text may indicate these are of European origin. There is a biographical error, stating Elvis is "Out of the sleepy town of Oceola, Tennessee" (there is no such town!), and the use of "the 'States" and references to "America's Latest Craze" indicate these are foreign in origin. Regardless, they are two of the finest photographs we have ever seen from this Los Angeles concert, and don't appear to have been published anywhere. The photographs measure 8 x 10 inches and present in very well-preserved Near Mint condition.
