The offered oversized 16-inch LP with green and white label reads, “Armed Forces Radio & Television Service Station Library.” Side one includes five songs from Elvis Presley's 1956 self-titled debut album, including “Tutti Frutti,” “Tryin' to Get to You,” “I'm Gonna Sit Right Down and Cry (Over You),” “One Sided Love Affair,” and “I Love You Because.” This is surely the EARLIEST large-format LP issued by the Armed Forces with Elvis songs included.

The Armed Forces Radio & Television Service was established in 1942 by the War Department to broadcast popular American radio and television to troops, government employees and families stationed overseas. It is still in operation today under the name American Forces Network, and over the years many stars have rallied to support U.S. efforts abroad. The reverse side features songs by David Whitfield, who released an EP with the songs listed in 1956. The matric numbers P-4751-4752 are listed on the original envelope as well as in the dead wax of the record. The record measures 16 inches in diameter and presents with only minor wear.
